I am lecturer in Water and Environmental Engineering in the School of Engineering, Infrastructure and Environment Research Division at the University of Glasgow.

An analytical chemist by training, I carried out my PhD, postdoctoral work and now my first full-time academic position in three different civil and environmental engineering research groups (SPACE@QUB, DCEE@Strathclyde, I&E@Glasgow respectively) and I have developed a track record in designing new analytical solutions to complex environmental issues.

As a young academic, I am developing new interests and directions in which I would like to pursue my research. I intend this blog as both a place to showcase my research and teaching activities (reading, publications, travelling, courses update…) but also as a place to reflect and share on what it is to be an academic and notably the place of social media in promoting research and teaching.
